Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers about ILS, advocates, judgments, AI and legal assistance.

What is Instant Legal Services?

ILS is a legal information, research-access and professional-network platform that also provides a structured route for submitting legal requirements.

Can I search judgments?

Yes. The Judgments page provides a searchable interface over judgment records available in the ILS database, with official-source links where available.

Does ILS publish every judgment automatically?

No. Public judgment content should be based on available records and verified source information. If a record is unavailable, the site should not invent a summary or citation.

What does the Verified tag mean?

It indicates that the advocate profile has been approved in the ILS network workflow. It is not a ranking, endorsement, guarantee of result or statement of professional superiority.

Can I directly contact an advocate?

Public profiles are intentionally privacy-conscious. Where assistance is required, use the legal-assistance route rather than publishing private contact details.

Is the AI a lawyer?

No. The ILS AI Assistant is intended for general legal information and research support. It does not create an advocate-client relationship or replace case-specific professional advice.

Can I check a court case or challan?

Yes. ILS provides direct links to official eCourts and Parivahan eChallan services. Information entered on those external portals is handled by the respective service.

How do I join the network as an advocate?

Use the Join ILS Network page. Submitted professional details are subject to the site's review/verification workflow.

Does ILS guarantee a legal result?

No. Legal outcomes depend on facts, evidence, law, procedure and judicial decision. No result guarantee is made.

Where can I get case-specific assistance?

Submit the basic matter and jurisdiction details through Get Legal Help. Appropriate coordination may then be undertaken based on availability.
